A little about the trainer....

I love God, Family, my church family, babies, my dog Bubbie, beaches, my dairy farm, gardening, canning, baking, the sunshine, reading, teaching, empowering women through birth, double rainbows, organic food, my apple trees, diversity, seeing my birth families as they go through life, shared stories, answering questions, Listening, missionary work, traveling to teach, geocaching with my Remy and Sagie, being in the woods, dancing just for the fun of it, running in the rain, and spending time with people.   And, I know for sure I've never met a stranger!

I am a blessed mother of 4!  I am a Nana of four beautiful children, 8 y.o. Timothy; and 7 year old, Remy; 5 year old Arianna; and 4 year old Sage Faryn!(and I can finally say a New one on the way due in the month of December).  I have been married for 41 years (in December) to a farm boy, antique dealer, Mark.  We have lived in a 3rd generation family owned farm house in a little town in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania, where Amish buggies are everywhere, but we just moved back to my home-town Russell, PA!

I decided to become a DONA International birth doula trainer so I could also bring this International organization to Australia, Honduras, Mexico, and other countries along with trainings all over the USA.  I love conducting workshops and look forward to teaching them! I went on a Mission trip to Honduras to teach child birth education, breastfeeding, and attended a few births!  I have met many beautiful people in my workshops who share a passion for this work.  I have been a doula for 21years, was just designated the AdvCD(DONA) status, have been a certified postpartum doula 9 1/2 years, on the certification committee for DONA 19 years, a Childbirth educator at our local hospital for 8 years, an approved DONA birth doula trainer for 9 1/2 years, and a pregnancy massage therapist for 12 years and just got a job teaching CBE at WCA hospital in Jamestown, NY.n I am also certified as a an Infant massage Instructor, and I am a Moby Wrap distributor.  go to to check out the wraps!  I feel blessed to have been taught by Penny Simkin, (One of the founders of DONA), and Kathy McGrath, my mentor or email
